Project description

The project aims to advance bioeconomy deployment in Central Eastern European and Baltic countries by building on BIOEASTsUP project outcomes and the BIOEAST Initiative Vision Paper. It seeks to strengthen national stakeholder networks, develop action plans, and foster long-term national and macro-regional cooperation. National BIOEAST HUBs will connect stakeholders to public administrations, promoting participatory decision-making and capacity-building.

The project will map bioeconomy competencies and biomass to enhance regional knowledge. A BIOEAST Knowledge Platform will act as a repository for sharing and storing bioeconomy materials, supporting HUBs in driving bioeconomy innovation in each member state. To promote innovation and education, the project will unite public and private funders, business stakeholders, and expand the BIOEAST UNI NET network.

Key activities include training, reskilling, awareness campaigns, and creating dialogue spaces to engage academia, private, and public sectors in the bioeconomic transition. These efforts aim to integrate programs and policies, enhancing stakeholder participation in the bioeconomy.

The consortium comprises stakeholders from all BIOEAST region states, along with partners from Western Europe (BE, FI, GER, IE, IT & ES), ensuring broad collaboration for bioeconomy development.
