The project aims to develop and implement a cross-border entrepreneurship training programme for young people aged 18 - 25 from low-income families in Latvia, Estonia and Finland, focusing on Zemgale, Riga and the Riga Region in Latvia, Lõuna-Eesti in Estonia, and Länsi-Suomi in Finland. The project addresses youth unemployment and underemployment among socially vulnerable young people who often face limited access to paid education, lack of work experience and restricted career development opportunities.
The training programme will consist of 207 learning hours and will be implemented over one year in two cycles. Each cycle will include 7 face-to-face and 10 online events, combining practical exercises, mentoring and cross-border teamwork. Participants will strengthen their entrepreneurial competences by learning idea generation and assessment methods, business model development, and the main functional areas of company operations, including management, human resources, marketing, sales, finance and production.
Participants will form cross-border multi-functional teams of 5 - 6 people and work on specific business ideas during a four-month development period. Through cooperation between Latvia, Estonia and Finland, they will gain insight into different business environments, identify regional market opportunities and build professional connections in neighbouring countries.
In total, 100 young people will be enrolled in the programme during two cycles, of whom 82 are expected to be active participants. The project will improve participants’ employability, entrepreneurial capacity and self-confidence, supporting their transition towards sustainable employment, self-employment and business development.
