Project description

The project's aim was to evaluate the factors influencing women's unemployment in Latvia and develop recommendations for promoting employment. A review of scientific literature was conducted on unemployment theory, women's social inclusion in the labor market, and regional unemployment. Legal documents from Latvia and the EU on promoting women's employment, economic indicators, and other countries' experiences were evaluated, and losses due to women's unemployment were calculated.

Women's unemployment trends were analyzed based on survey data from employers, unemployed individuals, and implementers of employment measures. In collaboration with the State Employment Agency, statistical data were collected, and comparative studies were conducted. Based on expert opinion analysis, a scenario with 20 proposals for improving women's inclusion in the labor market was developed.
