The BIOEASTsUP project aims to support the BIOEAST initiative in implementing its Vision for 2030 and Action Plan, facilitating the transition of 11 Central and Eastern European countries towards sustainable bioeconomies. By engaging relevant stakeholders, the project emphasizes the importance of a sustainable circular bioeconomy on governmental agendas, enhances macro-regional cooperation within the agri-food sector, and aids in developing national bioeconomy strategies. BIOEASTsUP seeks to strengthen human capacity and competitiveness of public administrative bodies, connect experts and policymakers through national bioeconomy networks, and mobilize national and regional capacities to leverage investments in education, research, and innovation. By reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable practices, the project aligns with the European Green Deal priorities and the EU's climate ambitions for 2030 and 2050. Ultimately, BIOEASTsUP aims to create a favorable inter-sectoral framework for the sustainable deployment of biomass potential, contributing to inclusive growth and environmental sustainability in the region.
